AIIMS MBBS 2012 Eligibility Criteria
For Indian Nationals
Common to AIIMS New Delhi & Six AIIMS Like Institutions.
Age: The candidates must have completed or attain the age of 17 years as on the 31st of December of the year of admission. Candidates who are born on or after 2nd January, 1996 are however NOT eligible to apply in AIIMS.
Essential: The candidates must have cleared the 12th Class, under the 10 + 2 Scheme or Senior qualifications School Certificate Examination or Intermediate Science (I. Sc.) or an equivalent examination of a well reputed University or Board of any Indian State with ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY.
Minimum: The candidates must have achieved atleast 60% marks pertaining to Aggregate General & OBC and 50% marks pertaining to SC or ST candidates in aggregate in English, Physics, Chemistry And Biology.
Important Note: All the candidates who have appeared or are appearing at the qualifying examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the major subject and hoping to clear the examination with the required percentage of marks are also eligible to apply and appear in the Competitive Entrance Examination. Also, the respective candidature will be acceptable only if they give documentary proof or written evidence of passing the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks on or before the date mentioned.
For Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
Common to AIIMS New Delhi & SIX AIIMS Like Institutions.
OCI registered under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 are also eligible to give the test and all terms and conditions applicable for Indian Nationals are very clearly mentioned in this Prospectus will be applicable to them. The candidates who give proof of Registration as OCI under Section 7A of Citizenship Act 1955 are allowed to sit in this test.
For Foreign Nationals
For AIIMS New Delhi only
Foreign candidates who are selected by the Indian Government need to have attained atleast 50% marks in aggregate in all the subjects of ENGLISH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY in their Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to the M. B. B. S. Course. Foreign candidates need not to give the Competitive Entrance Examination.
