English Proficiency

This Exam is basically conducted to evaluate the takers ‘basic proficiency in the English language and its usage, As it is a great tool of self-expression in real life situations and particularly aimed to judge the test takers’ knowledge of basic grammar, vocabulary, ability to read quickly as well as to comprehend and to use the components of effective writing.

Grammar

  1. Agreement, Time and Tense, Parallel construction, Relative pronouns

  4. Question tags, Phrasal verbs

Vocabulary

  1. Synonyms, Antonyms, Odd Word, One Word, Jumbled letters, Homophones, Spelling

Logical Reasoning

The following test is being organised to evaluate candidates power of reasoning speed in verbal as well as in non-verbal areas. The candidates must use their mind logically so that they can understand the data accurately, understand the relationships correctly, find out the missing numbers or words and to use rules to new and different contexts. Such indicators will be measured on the basis of performance done in such tasks like detecting missing links, following directions, classifying words, writing sequences and completing analogies.

Verbal Reasoning

  1. Analogy: Analogy can be defined as correspondence. Questions based on analogy will deal with a specific relationship which is given and another similar relationship needs to be find out from the given alternatives.

  2. Classification: Classification means to assort the items of a given group, based on few common quality they have and then find the odd option out:

  3. Series Completion: It deals with numbers or letters that are given and one is asked to either complete the series or find out the incorrect part in the series.

  4. Logical Deduction-Reading Passage: A concise passage will be given and based on the passage the candidate needs to find out the right or wrong logical conclusions.

  5. Chart Logic: A chart or a table will be given that is partially filled in and asks to complete it on the basis of information given either in the chart or table or in the question.

Nonverbal Reasoning

  1. Pattern Perception: A systematic pattern is being followed here and basically a quarter is left empty. The candidate needs to figure out the right quarter from the mentioned four different alternatives.

  2. Figure Formation and Analysis: The candidate needs to judge and form a figure from different parts.

  3. Paper Cutting: It will comprise analysis of a pattern that is being constructed when a folded piece of paper is cut into a fixed design.

  4. Figure Matrix: More than one set of figures will be given in the form of a matrix, all of them will follow the same rule. The candidate needs to follow the rule and find out the figure that is missing.

  5. Rule Detection: A specific rule will be given here and it is required to select from the mentioned sets of figures, a set of figures, which follows the rule and forms the right series.
