SBI Bank PO Exam pattern
Examination will be organised in 2 phases vis. Phase-1 of written examination and phase-2 of group discussion and interview.
Phase-I: Written Examination
Combined Duration 3 Hrs (Combined Objective & Descriptive Type Tests). having Max marks-250 (combined).
The paper will have two parts one with objective questions and other with subjective questions.
The time duration of objective type questions test will be 2 hours, Max. Marks 200 and will comprise of:
- Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc)
- Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
- Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
- Test of Reasoning (High Level)
The time duration of Descriptive type test will be 1 hour, Max. Marks-50 and the test will be of “Test of English Language (Comprehension, short precis, letter writing & essay)”
Descriptive test paper of only those candidates will be judged who are very high in percentile ranking in each of all the 4 objective tests and have scored overall total 40% and above in case of General category and total 35% and above in case SC/ST/OBC/PWD category. Qualifying marks for descriptive test will also be overall aggregate 40% for General category and overall total 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD. The merit list of written examination.
Phase-II: Group Discussion & Interview
Candidates who have qualified in both the written examinations will be called further for a group discussion and an interview depending upon the number of vacancies in each category, subject to maximum of 3 times of the vacancies.
