Q. A man pointing to a lady said, “The son of her only brother is the brother of my wife,” The lady is related to the man as

(C) Mother-in-law

Answer: (D)

That man is the brother-in-law of that main who is pointing the lady. And so this relationship explains sister of father-in-law.

How many pairs of successive numbers have a difference of 2 each?

(A) 4

Answer: (D)

So, there are total eight pairs which have a successive difference of 2 each. Difference between two numbers a and b is always positive, i.e.. , | a-b|= | b-a| . On the other haand, substraction between two numbers would have a sign (+ or -) .

Q. The mean marks obtained by a class of 40 students is 65; The mean marks of half of the students is found to be 45. The mean marks of the remaining students is

(A) 85

(B) 60

(C) 70

(D) 65

Answer: (A)

Total marks of 40 students are 40 × 65 = 2600 and total marks of 20 students are 45, i.e.. , 20x45 = 900. So the remaining 20 students will have 2600 - 900 marks which equals to 1700. So, 1700⟋20 = 85 marks.

Q. Anil is twice as old as Sunita. Three years ago, he was three times as old as Sunita. The present age of Anil is

(A) 6 years

(B) 8 years

(C) 12 years

(D) 16 years

Answer: (C)

Let Sunita՚s age be S, then Anil՚s age would be A. A = 2S and A-3 = 3 (S-3) . So, A-3 = 3S-9. So, age of Anil would be 6 years.

Answer: (D)

Twitter and facebook common examples of social networking sites. Amazon is an example of B2C e-commerce, ebay is an example of C2C or B2C ecommerce.
