Format structure-Pattern of the CMAT

CMAT will be of three hours time duration. In the year 2012, it will be organised during a period of nine days i.e.. 20 − 28 February in two shifts at around 61 locations.

The question paper will have four sections which are stated below:

  • Quantitative techniques & data interpretation
  • Logical reasoning
  • Language comprehension
  • General Awareness

Total 25 questions will be there in every section. Each correct answer will fetch four marks and each wrong answer will results into deduction of one mark as negetive marking.

Expected Duration of the CMAT: 3 hours (180 minutes).

Expected Time for each section in CMAT: 45 minutes.

Pattern of marking for CMAT: 4 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark deduction for every incorrect answer.
