Preparation Tips for Paper – I (Primary Stage Classes I-V): Here we will discuss the subjects asked in Paper 1 and based on the previous year papers we will provide a analysis as to which area will include how many questions.

Paper -1 includes following subjects

  • Child- Development & Pedagogy
  • Language I
  • Language II
  • Mathematics
  • Environmental Studies

We will describe each section in brief how to prepare for them individually

All sections will contain 30 questions and 1 mark for each question.

1. Child- Development & Pedagogy

  • 15 questions are from Child Development
  • 5 questions are for concepts of inclusive education and understanding children
  • 10 questions from learning and Pedagogy which is based on how children think and how they learn.

2. Language I

  • 15 questions are from Comprehension like grammar and verbal
  • 15 questions from Pedagogy of Language Development

3. Language II

  • 15 questions are from Comprehension like grammar and verbal
  • 15 questions from Pedagogy of Language Development.

4. Mathematics

  • 15 questions are from Geometry, Shapes and Spatial Understanding, Solids around Us, Numbers, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Measurement, Weight, Time, Volume, Data Handling, Patterns, Money.
  • 15 questions from Pedagogy issues Nature of Mathematics/Logical thinking

5. Environmental Studies

  • 15 questions are from Family and Friends, Relationships, Work, Play, Animals, Plants, Food, Water, Travel, Things We Make and Do
  • 15 questions from Pedagogy issue like Concept and scope of EVS, Significance of EVS, Environmental Studies and Environmental Education
