Winners of 2015 Mutua Madrid Open [ Current Affairs ]

Men’s singles Title- Ace tennis player Andy Murray of Britain (Andy Murray’s first) has won the Mutua Madrid Open 2015 Men’s Singles Title. In the final match Murray defeated defending champion Rafael Nadal of Spain by 6-3, 6-2 score.

Women’s singles Title-

  • Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic has won the Mutua Madrid Open 2015 Women’s Singles Title.
  • In the final match she defeated Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia by 6-1, 6-2 score.
  • Petra Kvitova won second time Mutua Madrid Open Women’s Singles Title. Earlier she had won it in 2011.

Men’s doubles Title-

  • Rohan Bopanna of India and Florin Mergea of Romania pair won the Mutua Madrid Open 2015 Men’s doubles Title.
  • In the final match, they defeated Marcin Matkowski of Poland and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia pair by 6–2, 6–7, (5–7), [11–9] score.

Women’s doubles Title-

  • Casey Dellacqua of Australia and Yaroslava Shvedova of Russia pair won the Mutua Madrid Open 2015 Women’s double Title.
  • In the final match, they defeated Spanish pair Garbie Muguruza and Carla Surez Navarro by 6–3, 6–7,(4–7), [10–5] score.
  • Mutua Madrid Open is a professional tennis tournament. It is played on outdoor clay courts at the Park Manzanares in Madrid, Spain.
