2016 Marconi Society Paul Baran Young Scholar Award Won by Dinesh Bharadia

The prestigious 2016 Marconi Society Paul Baran Young Scholar has been won by the Dinesh Bharadia an Indian-born researcher for his outstanding contribution in the research of send and receives radio (wireless) signals, including mobile telephony and data on the same channel (wave) radio waves.

  • He has created history by rebutting a long-held assumption that it is not possible for a radio to transmit and receive on the same frequency band because of the interference with his duplex radio technology.

  • He is belongs to Ichalkarnji in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra.
  • Currently he is serving as researcher at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) .
  • He has earned his doctorate degree from Stanford University and graduation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
