Best Film Award at 19th Shanghai International Film Festival Won by Kannada Movie Thithi

A dramatic comedy Kaneda Movie Thithi co-written and directed by Raam Reddy has won two awards in 19th Shanghai International Film Festival under the Asia New Talent Awards Category: (i) Best film and (ii) Best Script Writers

  • Along with this Thithi also has won numerous other awards at national and international film festivals and some of them are:
    1. Golden Leopard honour in the Filmmakers of the Present category
    2. The Swatch First Feature award at the 68th Locarno International Film Festival
    3. National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada in the 63rd National Film Awards
    4. Best Supporting Actress and Best Dialogue awards at 2016 Karnataka State Film Awards

  • On 10th august 2015 Thithi was released in Locarno film festival
  • On 6th may 2016 Thithi was release in Karnataka and on 3rd June 2016 it was officially released in many cities Viz. Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, and Chennai.
  • Thithi is all about how three generations of sons respond to the death of the oldest man in their clan, named Century Gowda who is a locally famous, highly cantankerous 101-year-old man.
