Nalinidhar Bhattacharyya a well-known Assamese poet, author and literary critic has taken his last breath in Guwahati, Assam after suffering from age-old ailments at the age of 95 years.

About Nalinidhar Bhattacharyya

  • He was born in 1921 at Meleng Kathgaon, Assam.
  • He was the literary poet, but later he becomes leading author and literary critic.
  • He has completed intermediate in 1942 from JB College, Jorhat. And earn Master’s degree in Assamese.
  • He has started his career as teacher in Kakojan High School, later he becomes lactureer of St. Anuthony’s Collage.
  • He was a former principal of Arya Vidyapeeth College, Guwahati.
  • Well-known Assamese litterateur Birendra Kumar Bhattacharyya is his younger brother.
