Six-Laning of NH-2 Has Been Approved by CCEA in Bihar and Jharkhand

The six laning of National Highway-2 from Aurangabad-BarwaAdda section development in Bihar and Jharkhand has been approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) . At the CCEA meeting in New Delhi chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi this decision was taken.

Key facts:

  • Under the National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phase-V, the six laning work approximately length of 222 kms.

At the estimated cost of ₹ 4918.48 crore this development will be assumed including:

  • Design
  • Build
  • Finance
  • Operate
  • Transfer (BOT⟋DBFOT)

With the aim to speed up the improvement of infrastructure in Jharkhand and Bihar this project is approved.

  • This project is also aims to reduce the time and cost of travel for traffic.
  • With this project new employment opportunity will increase for local laborers for project activities and uplifting the socio-economic condition of the concerned regions.
