Velavan Senthilkumar the Indian squash won the Under-19 Asian Junior Individual squash championship by beating Mohammad Al-Sarraj of Jordan with 12-14, 9-11, 11-6, 11-8, and 11-7 at finals played in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysian capital).

  • He is the second Indian who has won this title after Ravi Dixit in 2010.
  • Total 31 Indian players participated in various age categories in this tournament.

India also won two other medals:

  • Tushar Shahani the silver medal in boys’U-17 category
  •  Yash Fadte the bronze medal in boys’ U-15 section
