Stage II: Indian National Biology Olympiad (INBO)

INBO test is conducted by HBCSE at approximate 15 centres in the country.

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for participating in the INBO exam are:

  1. Students who are choosen from Stage I examination (NSEB)

  2. Students who have been who have been exempted as described in the Enrollment page

These are the two ways by which students can apply for the test.

The test is usually conducted in the month of Feburary every year.

The final date and timings are displayed in the first week of January on the website. It is also conveyed to students by post who have applied through post. Students appearing for INAO are eligible for TA/DA as per norms of the programme.

Syllabus: The syllabus for INAO is almost same as that for NSEA.

The syllabus is only a tentative curriculum guideline. The Questions and problems to be attempted in National Olympiads are usually non-conventional and of high difficulty level, comparable to International Olympiads.

Only 35 students will be choosen for OCSC Biology III stage. If there is tie at the last position, all students with the same marks at the last position will qualify for OCSC at the respective level. The student cannot get to this level by any other way.

No more confusion, prepare with fully solved previous years questions for all Olympiads: NSO, NCO, IMO, and IEO for all classes.
