National Cyber Olympiad (NCO)

The NCO (National Cyber Olympiad) is a competitive exam aimed at searching talented students interested in computer education and encouraging them to develop their careers in the same field. The exam is conducted in two levels. The examination paper has three sections consisting of total 50 questions. This is to be attempted within 60 minutes. The first section consists of 15 questions which is of Mental Ability, second section of Logical and Analytical Reasoning consists of 15 questions, and third section of Computers and IT consists of 20 questions. Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The questions are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type and the answers are to be written in an OMR sheet. Students from all classes 2 − 12 can appear for the exam. The result sheet states a Cyber Quotient (CQ) of the student, also gives their Score, School Rank, City Rank, State Rank, International Rank and Percentile, as well as a Certificate of Participation. SOF also gives a report of performance of the schools and provides the schools with School Cyber Quotient (SCQ). A School Whizkid Medal is awarded to every class topper in each participating school. However there should be minimum 10 participants from the school.

The 2nd level examination is conducted online at Reliance World outlets throughout Asia. This test has total 30 questions which the student has to attempt in 30 minutes. However the time taken by the student to submit the final answers are also taken into consideration while ranking. The least time taken, the more the benefit and ranking.
