The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has published syllabus for the State Services Main Examination 2010 of the MPPSC. The Syllabus of the exam is as follows:

    3. Maratha military system with special reference to the Third Battle of Panipat (1761 AD) .
    4. Sikh military system with special reference to the Battle of Sobraon (1846 AD) .
  3. Pre-Independence Period
    1. Battle of Plasay 1757 AD.
    2. 1857 Liberation movement.
    3. Re-organisation of Army in India under the CROWN.
