BWPI PhD Scholarships
Brooks World Poverty Institute (BWPI) is a new multi-diciplinary centre of excellence that build on the University of Manchester's long-standing tradition of research in social as well as economic development.
There will be up to 4 BWPI PhD Scholarships available from 2007 − 08. The total award would be up to 50000 pounds over 3 years to cover full fee costs and contributing to maintenance.
Candidates who are successful will be full-time PHD student registered at the BWPI and will get research training through attendance of appropriate programmes at either the School of Enviornment and Development or the School of Social Sciences depending upon topic selection.
Requirements For BWPI PhD Scholarship
Candidates with disciplinary backgrounds in any desired social science subject area are encouraged to apply (like anthropology, development studies, economics, geography, planning, politics and sociology).
