Indian Institute of Management Udaipur is a graduate business school situated in Udaipur, India. It is one of the seven Indian Institutes of Management established by the central government meanwhile the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. IIM Udaipur was inaugurated on 30 July 2011.
IIM Udaipur started its functioning from the year 2011 in a temporary campus situated at Polymer Science Building, Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur, Rajasthan. IIM Udaipur construction has started at the 253 acres (102 ha) of land in the Balicha area of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The Government of Rajasthan allocated this land for the institute's new Campus.
To get admission in the PGP course at IIM Udaipur is indeed very difficult and through the Common Admission Test i.e.. CAT organised in the month of November every year. The PGP course comprises six terms covered over two years. The first year comprises three terms including foundation courses of various different business functions. Second year comprises elective courses and have three terms. IIM Udaipur provides a unique elective in the second year “International business and practices” where students get opportunity to work on a live project even abroad. The admissions for the first batch of students for 72 seats was completed through its mentor institute IIM Indore. The first batch classes will be started from 27 July 2011.
