We extend our heartiest congratulations to Mr. Abdul Karim for qualifying NET Nov 2017 examination in Psychology. Here are some of the recommendations she has for the aspirants. Hope these tips will prove beneficial for the upcoming 2018 exam.

Examrace: How much time did you devote daily for preparation?

Abdul: Daily, Six to eight hours madam. Morning Three hours, and evening two to three hours. I planned to prepare since last six months. However, I am in psychology field from last 12 years. I had completed my graduation (Psychology) in 2003 and post graduation (Psychology) in 2005. and then another post graduation (MBA) in 2009. And now only i am doing my M. Phil in Psychology. After my M. Phil Admission only (2017 June), i seriously planned for NET exam.

Examrace: What do you consider are the best references?

Abdul:

My first and best reference is Dr. Manishika Jain’s You tube videos. It helps me more about basic understanding of some concepts. and then, Previous NET question papers.

I also referred Most famous authors psychology books like Baron, Atkinson and Hilgard, Morgan and king, Dennis coon.

Examrace: What should be the preparation strategy?

Abdul:

- Concept Understanding,

- Exact meaning and definition of important psychology terms,

- By using all reference books, topic wise, Collectively making notes,

- Focusing each topic at one by one basis (In paper II)

Examrace: How was Examrace resources beneficial for you? What all resources did you found useful?

Abdul:

- You tube lectures helped me more as compare to other resources.

Examrace: What special tips would you like to give to aspirants?

Abdul:

- Concept Understanding,

- Exact meaning and definition of important psychology terms,

- By using all reference books, topic wise, Collectively making notes,

- Focusing each topic at one by one basis (In paper II)

Examrace: What strategy do you recommend for Paper 1 and psychology?

Abdul:

- While planning to Paper I, concentrate more on recent important events in India. My opinion, questions using calculation and formulas, do it at last… Don’t waste to spend too much of time for preparing those questions. Just knowing the concepts is enough.

- In Psychology, Don’t stick with any one book, studying multiple books and makes notes is good. Gather detailed notes from earlier to recent research. In Research Methodology, MHRD video lectures and Dr. Manishika Jain’s you tube Lectures are useful to me to understand the concepts.
