NET JRF Exam to be Conducted by CBSE Starting December 2014

UGC has decided to hand over the responsibility of conducting the NET JRF examination to CBSE starting December 2014. As of now there are no changes in the syllabus for NET examination and also the examination pattern will remain the same. UGC has transferred this responsibility to CBSE stating that about the inefficiency to conduct the examination by UGC. On the other hand, CBSE is the largest body that conducts examination in India, along with the board examinations, it conducts the all India premedical and Joint engineering examination. It also conducts the optional proficiency test for class X students.

With the inclusion of NET examination, the total number of students appearing for test by CBSE would increase to 65 lakh peer year.

However, it is for the first time, that CBSE is conducting a post graduate examination.
