Time Duration of examination-Two Hours

Multiple-choice Questions: (100 questions of 1 mark each) on the following mentioned subject areas-

  • Law of Contracts.
  • Law of Torts.
  • Criminal Law.
  • Constitutional Law.
  • Legal Theory.

Short-answer questions: (100 Marks) 10 questions of 10 marks each.


In case of tie between two or among more candidates in the CLAT, Then the final result will be evaluated by the following procedure and order:

  • Higher marks in the section of short-answer questions in CLAT-2012.
  • Higher age.
  • Computerized based draw of lots.
