GNLU is holding CLAT counselling in online mode starting 2014. With the introduction of online counselling from this year, students will be able to choose their preference of the university only after they have taken the exam and select the appropriate NLU based on their performance.
During counselling, the candidates can mark the preferences of the NLUs for admission within a stipulated period as per the schedule and first 2500 candidates (of which 40% extra candidates proportionately from General/SC/ST/OBC/PWD etc.) in the merit list will be allowed to participate in the online counselling against the actual seats available with the participating NLUs. Candidates can log in and deposit the adjustable fees of ₹ 100000 either online/offline through the website.
Candidates who have deposited the required fees will be considered against the seats available and those who do not deposit the required fees will forfeit their right to be considered for admission in future and their names will be dropped from CLAT 2014 Merit List. The provisionally selected candidates allotted to various NLUs will have to reserve their seats within a stipulated period by using their Login Account.
Tamil Nadu National Law School (TNNLS) located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu joined CLAT in 2014 as per the interim order of the Madras High Court. The UGC has also included TNNLS in the approved list of Universities with total intake of 100 students for the 5-year integrated BA LLB (Hons) program on the basis of All India Quota and State Quota. Based on CLAT results, 45 students will be shortlisted on All-India basis and remaining 45 as per the State Quota. Rest 10 seats will be filled with NRI candidates.
Candidates must deposit an admission amount of ₹ 2,02, 000 (₹ 1,96, 000 for those belonging to the reserved category) . The admission fee includes hostel, and mess charges along with refundable amount of ₹ 20,000/-for the general and ₹ 14,000/-for the reserved category.
