Transfer Station

  • The centralized facility found between the collection site and disposal site

  • An intermediate station as large vehicles are unloaded and re-loaded from smaller collection vehicles in these sites

Types of Transfer Station

  • Small transfer stations: behold waste up to 100 tonnes per day

  • Medium transfer station: have capacity of about 100 to 500 tonnes per day

  • Large transfer station: these stations have site for segregation, component separation size and volume reduction
