Detailed Exam Pattern

  • The exam shall be OMR based.

  • The paper will be divided into two parts: Part A: General Awareness, Language, Analytical Skills and Mathematical Aptitude. The total marks of Part A shall be 25 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Part B: Domain Knowledge; This part shall consist of three/four/five sections. Each section in this part will have 25 questions. A candidate will be asked to attempt any three sections, which makes it a total of 75 questions.

  • Candidates applying for some integrated program/LL.B/MCA/MBA or any other general program will have only one paper consisting of 100 MCQs. This shall cover topics like Reasoning, Data Interpretations/Numerical Ability, Analytical Skills, General Awareness and English Language.

  • The candidate must choose one correct answer on the OMR sheet. In case the candidate marks multiple entries on the OMR sheet for a particular question(s), it will be taken as a wrong answer with negative marking.

  • CUCET 2020 for UI and PG programs shall have negative marking. Each correct answer shall carry 1 mark and every wrong answer will lead to the deduction of 0.25 marks.

  • Questions left unattempt shall not be considered for the final assessment or the final merit list.

  • The duration of CUCET 2020 for UI and PG programs is two hours.
