AIM Partners with CIL to Boost Its Innovation and Entrepreneurship

  • Coal India Limited (CIL) has agreed to partner with AIM (Atal Innovation Mission) , NITI Aayog to support proactively the flagship mission՚s innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives across the nation.
  • In a virtual summit on June 19, a strategic Statement of Intent (SOI) partnership between AIM and CIL has been signed and exchanged.
  • The objectives of AIM are-

  • The partnership will focus on motivating the talented youths of the country in order to create Atmanirbhar Bharat.
  • CIL will adopt a certain number of ATL based schools in the country.
  • In these schools, teachers training will be conducted.
  • These trained teachers will be able to provide mentoring support to students.
  • In the areas close to CIL operation (generally Tier 2,3 cities and rural areas) , CIL will support the youths by adopting ACIC programs.
  • As CIL operates in remote areas of the country, this partnership will help youths of these unserved and underserved regions.
  • The Atal Innovation Mission conducts various programs-
    • At school level- ATL (Atal Tinkering Labs)
    • Institutional level- AIC (Atal Incubation Centres) for building an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country
    • At industry level – ANIC (Atal New India Challenges) and ARISE (Applied Research and Innovation for MSMEs.
    • In rural India and in Tier 2 and 3 cities – ACIC (Atal Community Innovation Centres work towards stimulating innovations)
