According to Wef Report India Ranks 90th in Terms of Energy Security, Access [ Current News (Concise) ]
According to the recently released Global Energy Architecture Performance Index (GEAPI) by WEF India has been ranked at the 90th place among 126 countries for the ability of securing, affordable and sustainable energy.
Top 10 countries in GEAPI Report are as below:
- New Zealand
Among the BRIC nations:
- Brazil at 25th rank
- Russia 52nd rank
- India 90th rank
- China 94th rank
According to the report it is observed that most important global economies have executed less on the index with the exception of France which was placed at the 4th place.
And the large developed economies are pressed both by the build resilient and sustainable energy architecture and also need support for the economic growth.
From last 10 years world energy production and imports has increased by 3, 200 million tonnes of oil equivalent and also driven by boom in the Asian economies and led by China and India.
Fuel trade patterns:
It has melodramatically changed during the past 10 years.
Asia reached at 35 % of the world fuel trades in 2014, compared to 20 % of the world fuel trades in 2004.
