Amit Kumar wins silver in IPC Athletics


Indian para - athlete Amit Kumar Saroha captured a silver in men’s club throw F51 event in the IPC Athletics World Championships. The silver - winning effort also gave Amit a quay for next year’s Rio Paralympic Games.

  • With Amit’s medal today, the 15 - member Indian team ended the campaign with two silver.
  • Amit finalized silver by an effort of 25.44m, behind Serbia’s Zeljko Dimitrijevic who won gold in a championship record of 26.29m. And another Serbian, Milos Mitic captured the bronze in 25.40m.

About 2015 IPC Athletics World Championships:
