TROPEX stands for “Theatre Level Readiness and Operational Exercise” . TROPEX-2015 Exercise was held between the Indian Navy՚s Concept of Operations. The area of operations spanned the Arabian Sea and Northern Indian Ocean and it is a month long exercise. During the month long exercise, Indian Navy had deployed two Carrier Task Forces and also saw the participation of both INS Viraat and INS Vikramaditya.

  1. During TROPEX-2015 Exercise used to 50 ships, submarines and along with 70 aircrafts from the three Naval Commands participated.
  2. In TROPEX-15, the India Air Force and the Indian Coast Guard were participating and it also included Network Centric Operations (NCO) by using indigenous satellite Rukmani.
