Annual exercise TROPEX 2015 of Indian Navy [ Current News (Concise) ]
TROPEX stands for “Theatre Level Readiness and Operational Exercise”. TROPEX-2015 Exercise was held between the Indian Navy’s Concept of Operations. The area of operations spanned the Arabian Sea and Northern Indian Ocean and it is a month long exercise. During the month long exercise, Indian Navy had deployed two Carrier Task Forces and also saw the participation of both INS Viraat and INS Vikramaditya.
- During TROPEX-2015 Exercise used to 50 ships, submarines and along with 70 aircrafts from the three Naval Commands participated.
- In TROPEX-15, the India Air Force and the Indian Coast Guard were participating and it also included Network Centric Operations (NCO) by using indigenous satellite Rukmani.
