  • Maini was in news earlier this week after he signed on with Haas F1 team as a development driver
  • This GP3 triumph is further proof of his rapid rise in the world of motorsport
  • Maini scored his first win in two years
  • Finishing six seconds ahead of Frenchman Dorian Boccolacci and teammate Alessio Lorandi of Italy.
  • The win in the sprint race of the series opener fetched Maini 15 points
  • His tally 21 to be third in the drivers’ standings behind Lorandi and Nirei Fukuzumi
  • Maini had tears in his eyes hearing the Indian national anthem on the podium
  • This victory has moved Arjun Maini into third place in the driver’s championship standings after completion of the first round of the eight-round GP3 series.
  • This is also the third time that the Indian National Anthem has been played during an F1 weekend.
