C. A Bhavani Devi has won a Gold Medal in an international fencing tournament and with this achievement she becomes first Indian to win it. She has bagged gold medal in the sabre event of the Turnoi Satellite Fencing Championship which was held in Reykjavik in Iceland by beating Sarah Jane Hampson of Great Britain with 15 - 13 points.
