Chandigarh will be hosting a three-day long ‘Destination North East’ 2017, aimed at showcasing North East as a potential destination for investment. Being organized by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in association with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER)

  • 8 % of country’s total geographical area and 4 % of country’s population consists of North East Region (NER).
  • Destination North East 2017 would be inaugurated by Jitendra Singh, the union Minister of state for Development of North Eastern Region.
  • The objective as a potential destination for investment and highlight the rich cultural heritage, traditions and customs of the region of the event is to showcase North East.
  • The main theme of this year’s festival is to highlight the use of suitable technologies in all sectors of development for North Eastern Region.
  • The major participation of Office of Principal Scientific Adviser to Government of India and Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).
