Cremica Mega Food Park Pvt Ltd was inaugurated by Union Minister for Food Processing Industries. The Park will give an impetus to growth of Food Processing Sector in Himachal Pradesh.

Park is located at Village Singha in Una District of Himachal Pradesh. This is first Mega Food Park operationalized instate of Himachal Pradesh.

About Inauguration

  • The Park will give an impetus to growth of Food Processing Sector in Himachal Pradesh.

  • Food Park will benefit people of Una District & people of nearby districts of Kangra, Hamirpur & Bilaspur.

  • Mega Food Park has been set up in 52.40 acre of land at cost of Rs. 107.34 crore.

  • Inauguration took place in presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Hamirpur.

  • The facilities being created by developer at Central Processing Centre (CPC) of this Mega Food Park include Multi-crop pulping line with bulk aseptic packaging (24 MT/hour), Frozen storage (1000 MT), Deep Freeze, Dry Warehouse, QC Laboratory & other food processing facilities.

  • The Park also has common administrative building for office & other uses by entrepreneurs & 3 PPCs at Solan, Mandi, & Kangra having facilities for primary processing & storage near farms.

  • Mega Food Park will leverage an additional investment of about Rs. 250 crores in 25 - 30 food processing units in park & generate turnover of about Rs. 450 - 500 crore annually.

  • Park will also provide direct & indirect employment to 5,000 persons & benefit about 25,000 farmers in CPC & PPC catchment areas.

  • The modern infrastructure for food processing created at Park will benefit farmers, growers, processors & consumers of Himachal Pradesh & adjoining areas immensely & prove to be big boost to growth of food processing sector in state of Himachal Pradesh.

  • The Present government is fully committed to providing an environment that is smooth, transparent & easy for investors wanting to start an enterprise in India & in bid to make India resilient food economy & Food Factory of World, government has made Food Processing major thrust area of ‘Make in India.


  • Ministry of Food Processing Industries is focusing on boosting food processing industry so that agriculture sector grows exponentially & becomes major contributor to doubling farmer’s income & ‘Make in India’ initiative of government.

  • To give major boost to food processing sector by adding value & reducing food wastage at each stage of supply chain with particular focus on perishables, Ministry of Food Processing Industries is implementing Mega Food Park Scheme in country.

  • Common facilities & enabling infrastructure is created at Central Processing Centre & facilities for primary processing & storage is created near farm inform of Primary Processing Centers (PPCs) & Collection Centers (CCs).

  • Mega Food Parks create modern infrastructure facilities for food processing along value chain from farm to market with strong forward & backward linkages through cluster based approach.

  • Under Scheme, Government of India provides financial assistance up to Rs. 50.00 Crore per Mega Food Park project.
