23 differently-abled children with different challenges, ranging from autism, cerebral palsy to depression and hyperactivity, who received special training in magic are becomes brand ambassadors of ‘Anuyatra’ an initiative of the Kerala government for person with special needs, launched at Thiruvananthapuram.

  • Anuyatra is a complete life cycle approach for disability management.
  • Main aim Anuyatra is to decrease barriers and create helpful environment for their holistic development and make southern state disabled-friendly and empower differently-able children by take them in front of the mainstream society.
  • The 23 selected children will specially trained in magic at the Magic Academy of Thiruvananthapuram for three months by well-known magician Gopinath Muthukad.

  • All these children are belongs to various BUDS and special schools and resource centres of Thiruvananthapuram.

About Anuyatra:

  • Anuyatra initiative is jointly run by the Kerala Social Security Mission, Magic Academy with support of Departments of Health, Education, Local Self Government and National Health Mission.
  • Anuyatra covers approximately 22 interventions including education, health care and social support.
  • The children will get free magic training to bring confidence and self esteem in them under a special programme titled “M-Power”.
  • Letter, they will perform in special function after training at Tagore Theatre Thiruvananthapuram in which the Vice President declares them as brand ambassadors of ‘Anuyatra’.
  • The Initiative will be the strong resolve of state to help the disabilities persons by recognizing their potential of development.
