Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana (Gramin)

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra launched “Housing for All” in rural areas.

  • Provide an environmentally safe and secure pucca house to every rural household by 2022.

  • In its first phase the target is to complete one crore houses by March 2019.

  • Selection of beneficiaries has been through a completely transparent process using the Socio Economic Census 2011 data.

  • Program provides for skilling 5 lakh Rural Masons by 2019.

  • Program targets the poor households and uses ICT and space technology to further confirm correct selection of beneficiaries and progress of work.

Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY - NRLM)

  • Flagship rural poverty reduction program of Ministry of Rural Development launched nationwide.

  • 👌Objective of social mobilization, financial inclusion and sustainable livelihoods promotion.

  • Aims at creating efficient and effective institutional platforms.

  • Increase household income through sustainable livelihood enhancements.

  • Improved access to financial services.

  • Recognizes the importance of achieving the post - 2015 agenda.

  • Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as well as other global priorities.

Road Connectivity Project for Left Wing Extremism (LWE) Affected Areas

  • Centrally Sponsored Scheme to improve the rural road connectivity in the worst LWE affected districts from security angle.

  • Project will be implemented as a vertical under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

  • Roads will be operable throughout the year irrespective of all weather conditions.

  • PMGSY guideline does not permit construction/upgradation of MD Rs.

  • Fund sharing pattern of LWE road project will be same as that of PMGSY.

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)

  • Launched on 25th December, 2000 as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme.

  • Objective: To provide all - weather road connectivity to all eligible unconnected habitations in rural areas of the country.

  • For most intensive Integrated Action Plan (IAP) blocks as identified by Ministry of Home Affairs.

  • Program envisages connecting all eligible unconnected habitations with:

    • Population of 500 persons and above (as per 2001 Census) in plain areas.

    • 250 persons and above (as per 2001 Census) in Special Category States.

    • Tribal (Schedule - V) areas.

    • In Select Tribal and Backward Districts (as identified by the Ministry of Home affairs)

    • Desert Areas (as identified in Desert Development Program)
