SwadharGreh Scheme

  • Focus on establishing one SwadharGreh in each district.

E - Dropbox

  • That will let children complain about

    • molestation
    • Harassment in school, bus, tuition classes or at home.
  • 👌Hosted on the website of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) .
  • 👌Project was inspired by Delhi Police՚s Operation Nirbheek.

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana

  • Government of India social campaign to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services meant for girls.
  • Aims to address the issue of:
    • Declining Child Sex Ratio (CSR)
    • Changing societal mindsets
  • Objectives:
    • Preventing sex selective abortion
    • Ensuring survival and protection of a girl child
    • Ensuring education of the girl child
  • Recently, expanded Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) program from 161 districts to all 640 districts of India.

POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) E-Box

  • Online complaint management system for easy and direct reporting of sexual offences against children.
  • e-Box is incorporated in the home page of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) website.
  • Any human being up to the age of 18 years is recognized as a child under the POCSO Act.

Mahila Police Volunteer Initiative

  • Launched initiative in Karnal and Mahendragarh districts, Haryana.
  • 👌Haryana became the first state to adopt this scheme.
  • Mahila Police Volunteer is a joint initiative with Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
  • One Mahila Police Volunteer (MPV) is envisaged per Gram Panchayat across India

National Alliance Against Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

  • Bring a common definition of child pornography.
  • Set up a multi member secretariat based in MWCD with a portal.
  • Provide a platform for Government⟋NGOs and other child rights activists for networking and information sharing.
  • Provide a forum for advocacy for child rights and policy inputs based on research and studies.

📝 National Action Plan for Children, 2016

  • 👌Four key priority areas:
    • survival
    • health and nutrition
    • education and development
    • protection and participation
  • Formulation of new programs and strategies, as required.
  • Plan takes into account Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) .

Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY)

  • Centrally Sponsored Scheme
  • Cost sharing ratio:
    • Between Centre and States & UTs with Legislature is 60: 40.
    • For North-Eastern States & three Himalayan States is 90: 10.
    • 100% Central assistance for UTs without legislature.

Features: DBT of amount of ₹ 6000

  • ₹ 1000 - at the time of registration
  • ₹ 2000 - at the time of prenatal checkup after 6 months of pregnancy
  • ₹ 3000 - at the time of vaccination to the baby

Conditions to claim the subsidy

  • Women shouldn՚t be working in central or state government or other similar firms.
  • Pregnant women should not be from an urban area.

Sakhi One Stop Centres (OSCs)

  • Implemented since April 1,2015.
  • Aim: To facilitate access to integrated range of services.
  • Include medical aid, police assistance, legal aid & case management etc.
  • Envisaged that Sakhi OSCs will be set up across the country in a phased manner.
  • Currently, 168 Sakhi OSCs are operational in 32 States⟋UTs.
  • Around, 70,000 cases have been reported at these centres.

Anganwadi Services Training Program

  • Comes under Umbrella Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme.
  • Centrally sponsored scheme.
  • Recently, launched Management Information System (MIS) portal for this Program.

Asmita Yojana

  • Roll out by Maharashtra government on the International Women՚s Day (March 8,2018) .
  • To provide affordable (subsidized) sanitary pads to School girls and Women.
  • Under the scheme,
    • School girls studying in Zilla Parishad schools will get sanitary napkin packet at ₹ 5.
    • Rural women can avail it at subsidized rate of ₹ 24 and ₹ 29

Sukanya Samriddhi Account

  • Launched on 21st January 2015 under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Campaign.
  • Launched to meet the expense of the Girl child՚s higher education and marriage.
  • Who can invest: Parent or Legal Guardian of eligible Girl child.
  • Scheme Tenure is 21 years from date of opening.
