- Any civilian who dies anywhere in the country due to:
- terror attack,
- LWE violence,
- firing from across the border,
- shelling or IED explosion
- Given ₹ 5 lakh as compensation uniformly.
- Amount will be given to the next of kin of the victim.
- Also, 5 lakh will be given to those who receive 50% or more disability or incapacitation due to the same reasons.
📹 SAUNI (Saurastra Narmada Avataran Irrigation) Yojana
- First phase of SAUNI Yojana launched by PM Modi at Sanodara of Jamnagar district of Gujarat.
- Multipurpose project.
- Aims: to solve the water problems of a parched Saurashtra region of Gujarat.
- 115 dams in the Saurashtra region will be filled with excess water from the Sardar Sarovar dam.
- SAUNI project involves making pipe canals instead of the conventional open canals.
