Famous Playback Singer P. Susheela Got Place in Guinness World Records


P. Susheela Mohan a well-known playback singer created a new world record for singing highest number of songs. She has now renowned as both the Guinness Book of World Records for singing most number of songs in Indian languages.

Famous Playback Singer

  • Guinness Book of World Records officially qualified her for singing record 17, 695 songs in twelve Indian languages.
  • Asia Book of Records has also has qualified her for singing close to 17, 330 songs.
  • She was honored with certificate and a badge of honour to the singer for the most number of single studio recordings.

About P. Susheela Mohan

  • She was born on 13th November 1935 in Andhra Pradesh.
  • She is a Telugu singer and is famously known as Gaana Kokila, Gaana Saraswath and Kannada Kogile.
  • She has started her singing career in 1959.
  • She has also work for All India Radio.
  • She also has made a record of singing over 10, 000 songs in Tamil and over 30, 000 songs in other languages.
  • She has sung excellent 1, 336 duets with S P Balasubramaniam which is also a record for the maximum number of duets by the same duo.
