Department of Biotechnology (DBT) convened Smart Agriculture Conclave in New Delhi to set stage for “FarmerZone” .
Agricultural conclave aimed to advance technological intervention for small and marginal farmers
National and international experts in policy, IT, aggrotech companies, academics, farmers and representatives, along with research and innovation agencies from India, UK, and US brought ideas and solutions to develop “FarmerZone” - a public good that can be scaled up and applied across a number of different agro-climatic zones across the world.
Conclave organized in partnership with UK՚s Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and Research Councils UK (RCUK) India.
Identified challenges in each agro-climatic region, and discussed possible solutions through scientific interventions.

Collects quality data related to agriculture into the cloud
Link farmers with PPP based enterprises for data delivery.
