Four Indian-Americans have been honoured with prestigious Great Immigrants, The Pride of America award 2015 in United States. Four Indian-Americans selected among 38 distinguished personalities from more than 30 countries around the world who have been honoured with this year’s award.

Four Indian-Americans selected for Great Immigrants, The Pride of America award 2015. They are

  1. Preet Bharara- he is the US Attorney of Southern District of New York.
  2. Rakesh Khurana- Dean of Harvard College and Marvin Bower Professor of Leadership and Development.
  3. Madhulika Sikka- he is Vice President and Executive Editor of .Mic.
  4. Abraham Verghese- he is Physician, Professor and Author.

The award is given by New York-based Carnegie Corporation on the occasion of Independence Day of United States i.e. 4th July.

Andrew Carnegie who was founder of Carnegie Corporation. He was one of pioneer American capitalist who had shaped the modern American industry and philanthropy. Andrew Carnegie was the son of impoverished immigrants who had settled in US.
