Google Has Celebrated 182nd Birth Anniversary of Dmitri Mendeleev


Popular search engine Google has celebrated 182nd birth anniversary of Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev by dedicating a doodle on 8th February 2016. This was a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google’s homepage that is intended to celebrate holidays, events, achievements and people.

About Dmitri Mendeleev

  • He was born on 8th February 1834 in verkhnie Aremzyani village near Toboiks, Siberia.
  • He was a Russian chemist and inventor.
  • He popularly known as the “Father of Periodic Table”.
  • He has formed the Periodic Law, created a farsighted version of the periodic table of elements, which is used to correct the properties of some already discovered elements and also to predict the properties of eight elements yet to be discovered.
  • Dmitri Mendeleev made sense of the 56 elements known in 1869 which shows how they related to each other in a distinct pattern.
