Imran Khawaja has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Imran Khawaja is currently serving as Chairman of Associates counties and a veteran administrator from Singapore.

  • The deputy chairman post is recently approved by ICC and for this decision they have made change in constitution.
  • Imran Khawaja was also among the five member of ICC working team which had made new constitution of ICC last year.
  • Khawaja will attend meetings of ICC if Chairman Shashank Manohar will be absent in any meeting.
  • Imran Khawaja is a lawyer by profession and also has been associated with ICC Board for several years.
  • He also was a part of influential committees of the ICC.

  • 10 governing bodies of teams that play official Test matches.
  • The ten full members are Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Zimbabwe.

2. Associate Members

  • The 39 governing bodies in countries where cricket is firmly established and organized but not yet granted full membership.

3. Affiliate Members

  • The 56 governing bodies in countries where the ICC recognizes that cricket is played according to the Laws of Cricket.
  • The main function of ICC is it is responsible for the organization and governance of cricket’s major international tournaments including Cricket World Cup.
  • Assigns umpires and referees that officiate at all sanctioned Test matches, One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals.
  • Circulates the ICC Code of Conduct, which sets specialized standards of discipline for global cricket.
  • Co-ordinates action in contradiction of exploitation and match-fixing finished its Anti-Corruption and Security Unit (ACSU).
