India’S First Maritime Summit 2016 Will Be Attended by 57 Countries


In the first ever Maritime India Summit 2016 scheduled will be held in April 2016 in Mumbai, Maharashtra and 57 countries are participation in this summit. The Union Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced it on the sidelines of media launch of the Maritime India Summit 2016.

About Maritime India Summit 2016:

  • The maiden Maritime India Summit will be hosted by Mumbai, Maharashtra.
  • And the whole summit will be organized by Union Ministry of Shipping.
  • This is first such global summit of its kind which will also include an Investors’ Summit along with exhibition and demo session.
  • The main effort of summit is to give motivation to “Make In India” and blue economy.
  • The summit will be joint initiative of South Korea and India.
  • The Ministry of Shipping had launched website for maiden summit to enable investors and participants to access detailed information about the summit in February 2016.
