Facts About Hindon Elevated Road Project

  • Expressway is 10.3 km long elevated road, making it longest elevated road in country.

  • Hindon Elevated Road will be connecting Raj Nagar Extension in Ghaziabad to UP Gate, shortening hour-long journey to just 18 minutes.

  • Total cost of completed project is estimated to be Rs. 1, 147 cr.

  • Entire stretch of Hindon Elevated Road is built on 228 single-pier pillars.

  • Vehicles using elevated road will be allowed to drive at average speed limit of 80 km/hour.

  • Hindon Elevated Road project faced several clearances from central agencies. Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate change gave its final nod & gave environment clearance on 11th March.

  • Hindon Elevated Road will connect commuters to NH-24, Delhi-Meerut Expressway making journey till Delhi’s Akshardham signal-free.

  • Longest elevated road will help commuters & travellers to reach Hindon airbase which is at distance of 1.5 km from toll gate.

  • Hindon Elevated Road is constructed on Transit-oriented development (TOD) basis, kind urban planning that aims at public transportation made easily accessible to residential, business & leisure space.

  • According to Ghaziabad Development Authority, remaining work of project is expected to be completed by May 2018.
