The Kathmandu-Varanasi-Kathmandu bus service was flagged off jointly by India of Ambassador of India to Nepal Ranjit Rae and by Nepal of Nepal Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Bimalendra Nidhi.

  1. The Kathmandu-Varanasi-Kathmandu bus service launched under the ambit of Motor Vehicle Agreement signed between India and Nepal during the 18th SAARC Summit.
  2. During the 18th SAARC Summit in 2014, it also launched bus service between Nepal and India.
  3. The Kathmandu-Varanasi-Kathmandu bus service is called the Bharat-Nepal Maitri Bus Seva (India-Nepal Friendship Bus Service).
  4. The Kathmandu-Varanasi-Kathmandu bus service will connect Kathmandu’s Pashupatinath Temple with Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath Temple as both sing and worship of Lord Shiva, who famous in the world.
