Plan Impact & Success

  • More than 25 crore people visited Prayagraj between Jan 5 and March 4

  • Proper management this time made sure there should not occur any accidents like that of 2013 Kumbh Mela which claimed the lives of 42 people.

  • On the occasion of Mouni Aamvasya there was a gathering of more than 6 crore people at the Sangam Nose Point on a single day, 450 Pan Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) surveillance cameras helped the police manage the crowds by holding them up at separate spots for over 45 - 50 minutes. This was done to check the assembly of too many people at one place.

  • The smart city solutions such as artificial intelligence (AI) along with the proper human coordination made this festival a huge success.
