German Survey-Reducing Car Ownership and Cutting Vehicular Pollution

  • As per the latest survey from 6,000 Germans it has been observed that people on an avg. underestimate the cost of running a car by 50% .
  • Knowing the actual cost encouraged at least 22% of the respondents to consider public transport.
  • Also, researchers from Germany and US believe the actual cost could reduce car ownership by 37% thereby cutting vehicular emissions in Germany by 23% by educating people about the actual cost.
