Marzieh Af-kham is appointed as Iran’s first woman ambassador


Marzieh Afkham is an Iranian representative. She was born on 13th January 1963 at Tehran of Iran. She is the former spokeswoman and head of the Center for Public and Media Diplomacy in Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

  • She was served as spoke person for the Ministry of affairs from 1st September 2013 to 1st November 2015.
  • She was the first female spokesperson for the government.
  • She was appointed as ambassador to Malaysia and by this appointment she becomes the first female Iranian ambassador since the 1979 Islamic revolt.
