Union Government has appointed Narendra Kumar as the new chairman of the Central Water Commission (CWC). He assumed the charge of the post up on superannuation of GS Jha. Member of Experts Committee for Scientific Assessment of flood prone area in India and Standing Committee for Morphological studies of Indian river.
