WTD is a campaign to motivate and mobilize millions around the world on issues of sanitation. It was originally established by the World Toilet Organization in 2001 now recognized by almost all countries. In 2013, the United Nations (UN) passed a resolution recognizing WTD as an official UN international day.

The Global Urgent Run

  • Sanitation crisis especially in urban world a ticking time bomb affecting and ailing billions of people around the world.
  • One in 3 people still do not have access to a clean and safe toilet.
  • Poor sanitation kills 1,000 children die each day.
  • Communities around the world come together for run or walk for sanitation in November, in the lead-up to UN World Toilet Day on 19 November.
  • Better sanitation allows improved health, especially for women and children.
