Oscar Awards: 88th Academy Awards


The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) presented 88th Academy Awards ceremony was held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The Oscars (Academy Awards) were offered in twenty four Different and they are:

  • Best Actor: Leonardo DiCaprio for “The Revenant”.
  • Best Actress: Brie Larson for Room.
  • Best Supporting Actor: Mark Rylance for Bridge of Spies.
  • Best Supporting Actress: Alicia Vikander for The Danish Girl.
  • Best Director: Alejandro G. Inarritu for The Revenant.
  • Best Original Screenplay: Tom McCarthy for Spotlight.
  • Best Adapted Screenplay: Adam McKay for The Big Short.
  • Best Original Song: Writing’s on the Wall for Spectre.
  • Best Original Score: The Hateful Eight for Ennio Morricone.
  • Best Production Design: Colin Gibson and Lisa Thompson for Mad Max: Fury Road.
  • Best Editing: Margaret Sixel for Mad Max: Fury Road.
  • Best Cinematography: Emmanuel Lubezki for The Revenant.
  • Best Sound Editing: Mark A. Mangini and David White for Mad Max: Fury Road.
  • Best Sound Mixing: Chris Jenkins, Gregg Rudloff and Ben Osmo for Mad Max: Fury Road.
  • Best Foreign Language Film: Son of Saul for Hungary.
  • Best Documentary Short Subject: A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness.
