Who is Deendayal Upadhyay?

  • Deendayal Upadhyay was one of most prominent rightwing ideologues. He was leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS) b/w 1953 & 1968.

  • He was born on 25th September 1916 in Nagla Chandrabhan village near Mathura.

  • He is mostly remembered for his philosophy of integral humanism.

Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of India

  • Shri Ram Nath Kovind was born on 1st October 1945 in Paraunkh near Kanpur, Utterpradesh.

  • Before become 14th President of India, he served as 36th Governor of state of Bihar from 2015 - 2017.

  • Shri Kovind was Union Govt. Advocate in Delhi High Court from 1977 - 1979. He was also Govt. Standing Counsel in Supreme Court from 1980 - 1993.

  • He was elected as member of Rajya Sabha from UP in 1994.

  • Shri Kovind also served as Member of Board of Management of the Dr B. R Ambedkar University, Lucknow, & Member of the Board of Governors of the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
